Case study / Technical enablement

Building an SE onboarding system in one month

I designed and built an internal learning system for organization-wide Cloudflare Solutions Engineer onboarding across Application Security and Performance.

Delivered in one month

A complete path from Internet foundations to product depth, configuration, demonstration, objections, and commercial readiness.

Onboarding needed more than a product catalog

Application Security and Performance spans Internet fundamentals, request flow, security controls, performance, product configuration, demos, customer objections, and commercial conversations.

The goal was to give Cloudflare SEs one structured onboarding path that connected those layers instead of leaving each resource isolated.

Design the curriculum around field execution

I separated foundational learning from operational product depth, then connected both to the work an SE performs with customers.

Foundation

Computing, networking, DNS, HTTP, TLS, application behavior, and security fundamentals.

Product depth

DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, bot and API security, rate limiting, and load balancing.

Field readiness

Hands-on configuration, demo flow, difficult questions, discovery, value, and commercial readiness.

The hub added cross-resource search and a browser-local resume point while deliberately avoiding scores, completion tracking, and certification framing.

A reusable onboarding path delivered in one month

The completed system created a consistent sequence from learning and configuration through demonstration, objections, and commercial execution.

Technical depth made teachable and repeatable

This work demonstrates my ability to structure a broad technical portfolio, maintain a clear boundary between fundamentals and operational depth, and turn product knowledge into a practical field-enablement system.
